They are miserable, the kinds of sick fucks that close their eyes and imagine a zombie apocalypse or an asteroid hitting the earth. They will do anything in their mental gymnastics to pretend that this illness that is roughly 4-5 times worse than a normal flu season is in fact the end of life as we know it on earth.

My guess much of the senior home deaths are real, and they're lying about the other deaths to keep the illusion alive. Most of the best and convincing lies are built on the truth, I find it hard to believe that's not what is happening here.
